Benefits of Hospice
Example of Those Who May Qualify For Hospice Care:
• Patients suffering from incurable terminal illnesses
• Patients undergoing cancer treatment with no improvement or
deteriorating health, leading to discontinuation of further treatment
• Patients with an expected life expectancy of less than 1 year due
to ongoing illness
• Patients with mobility limitations preventing regular visits to doctors
• Individuals suffering from chronic illnesses for an extended period
• Patients no longer desiring repetitive hospitalizations, surgeries, or

Hospice Services Include:
• Control of pain and other symptoms through medication,
environmental adjustment and education
• Psychosocial support for both the patient and family,
including all phases from diagnosis through bereavement
• Medical services commensurate with the needs of the patient

and family support, and education
